Rolf Method of Structural Integration

This method re-educates the body and raises one's awareness about how to be in harmony within the field of gravity.

Structural Integration works directly with the Fascia - the weblike organ system that weaves through and around every single structure in the body.

Structural Integration seeks optimal wholeness, wellness, function and mobility in the body. By building supportive connections throughout the entire connective tissue system, the client can find equilibrium and ease.

While it's possible to receive benefit from one or a few sessions, integrating the body is a process, and usually a series of treatments are required for complete and lasting results.

Structural Integration benefits people of all ages with varying conditions, and can assist with:

* athletic performance

* childhood development

* chronic pain/tension

* scoliosis/postural problems

* recovery from surgery/injury

* mental/emotional wellness

* overall health

Many people have experienced feeling lighter, more open, and balanced as posture and stability improve. It is possible to feel more energy and vitality, less pain and discomfort and an overall sense of wellbeing.

ScarWork

This original work from Sharon Wheeler is an evolution of structural integration specific to integrating scar tissue into the fascial web and helping to restore the body to pre-scar health and well being.

Molly has treated a wide variety of bodies with symptoms related to scar tissue. From every sort of surgery you can imagine, to accidents and injuries if there is a scar it is impacting the web of fascia, connective tissue, through restriction of function and mobility.

ScarWork is a gentle and highly effective manual tissue release method for restoring health to the body post surgery, injury or accident.

It does not matter how old or new the scar is, this work can help.

As the scar tissue is liberated and integrated the body responds with increased flow of lymph and circulation through the tissues. Scar tissue can “grab onto” other body structures like our vital organs. By releasing this hold, the opening and flow can bring health and improved vitality to the area of affect and the entire structure of the body.

Clients report feeling relief from symptoms of pulling, tightness, numbness and in many cases improved appearance of the scar. The surface of the skin and also the tissues deep in the body below a scar release and let go creating more space, freedom, and mobility.

Lymphatic Drainage

The lymph system is the body's natural defense against toxic invaders. A properly functioning lymphatic system detoxifies the body, regenerates tissues, filters out foreign substances, and maintains a healthy immune system.

Inflammatory swelling, excess water retention, lowered immunity, allergies, acne, eczema, cellulite, chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia can all be signs of a compromised lymph system.

Lymphatic Drainage Therapy (LDT) is a hands on technique designed to regulate our body's circulatory systems. As a form of massage, LDT is beneficial as prevention or treatment for a variety of health concerns.

As a valuable pre and post surgical application, LDT can be applied in the first 24 - 48 hours before and after surgery in most cases. LDT prevents infection by increasing fluid circulation, reducing edema, stimulating the immune system, and promoting a cleaner surgical site. It helps to regenerate burn-injured tissue and prevent scarring. LDT is also beneficial in the case of stretch marks or C-section scars. In most cases, results with LDT can begin immediately after receiving a single treatment. For serious conditions, a series of sessions may be necessary.

Lymphatic Drainage Therapy: relieves chronic pain by decreasing muscle spasms and removing tissue swelling LDT, is a natural to aid insomnia, depression, stress, loss of vitality and loss of memory, has anti aging effects, and is deeply relaxing.

Jin Shin Jyutsu

(pronounced Gin-Shin-Jitsu)

Jin Shin Jyutsu is an ancient art of harmonizing the body's life energy. This ancient art, passed down through generations, was revived in the early 1900's by Master Jiro Murai in Japan.

After clearing himself of a life threatening illness, Master Murai devoted the rest of his life to the research and development of Jin Shin Jyutsu. The resulting knowledge was then given to Mary Burmeister, who brought it to the United States in the 1950's and began teaching in the early 1960's.

Jin Shin Jyutsu recognizes that health and illness are associated with either the harmony or imbalance of our vital life force energy.

When the body’s energy pathways become restricted, the resulting stagnation can disrupt and eventually cause disharmonies, leading to discomfort, pain or disease.

In a session the client will lay comfortably positioned and fully clothed on a massage table. Molly will listen for the energetic pulses at the wrists for guidance. She will place her hands on points along specific energetic pathways with the intention of opening the flow of energy and evoking harmonious balance in the body.

Jin Shin Jyutsu employs twenty-six "Safety Energy Locks" similar to acupressure points, to address disharmony in the body. By stimulating these areas with gentle finger pressure and holding them along the body, energy flow is increased and can be helpful for:

  • Pain and stress relief

  • Improved body circulation, digestion and immunity

  • Possible improved symptoms of acute and chronic conditions

Cranio-Sacral Touch

Cranio-Sacral Touch is a gentle method used to improve the function of the central nervous system. Touch is applied to the head and body in a way that “listens” and is supportive to the whole person.

Molly’s practice of Cranio-Sacral Touch is an evolution of her studies inside the Milne Institute of Visionary Craniosacral work and mentorship in Biodynamic Stillness Touch.

Over time and practice with these deep touch methods, Molly has developed intuitive awareness that relates to the recipient and their optimum health.

In a session, we will create a safe container where each client feels completely supported, comfortable and empowered. This can allow for an opportunity to connect deeply with oneself, relax, let go and receive mindful healing touch.

We begin each session with a verbal consultation and end each session with an the opportunity for feedback. The session itself is conducted mostly in silence with the exception of the client expressing to the practitioner.

Cranio-Sacral Touch can be beneficial for people who are in good health. This meditative and calming experience is effective for providing mental clarity and abundant energy.

You may wish to try Cranio-Sacral Touch for any number of reasons, some of which may include:

  • Headaches

  • Chronic neck and back pain

  • Orthopedic concerns

  • Motor coordination concerns

  • Traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries

  • Scoliosis

  • Whiplash

  • TMJ

  • Post surgical concerns
